Aston Villa boss Dean Smith reveals in detail the conversation he had with Sir Alex Ferguson at first when his team was promoted from Championship.
The interview with Smith was featured on the latest episode of The 2 Robbies podcast and he was asked about numerous issues involving Aston Villa, their rise, and the current season.
While having a chat with the hosts, Smith revealed that when Villa got promoted to the top flight, he had a chat with Ferguson.

Smith revealed that Ferguson told him about the importance of the Head of Media at his club, as they help managers in not reading too many newspapers and not being active on social media.
Dean Smith said: “I met up with Sir Alex Ferguson when we got promoted. And he said to me – the most important person to you now is going to be your Head of Media.”
“He said because you don’t need to be reading any newspapers, any social media, he said, he should tell you everything you need to know.”
