Former Manchester City and Manchester United striker ‘Carlos Tevez’ reveals his ultimate team-mate XI as he still holds good memories from his time with his former teammates.
Speaking last year, Tevez was asked to name his ultimate line-up made entirely of players he’s played alongside.
The Argentine could pick six players who have played alongside him at United and failed to name any City players despite winning the Premier League at City.
Tevez named Rio Ferdinand, Gabriel Heinze, Patrice Evra, Paul Scholes, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Wayne Rooney, all of whom he played alongside at United. He also picked a few Juventus stars, including Paul Pogba – who he missed out on playing with at Old Trafford by just a couple of years.
Pogba, Gianluigi Buffon, and Andrea Pirlo were all selected, while he rounded out the side by picking Hugo Ibarra from Boca Juniors and Lionel Messi.
When picking his team, Tevez joked that he wouldn’t put himself on the side.
“If I retired and had to put together a farewell match, my team would be: Gianluigi Buffon, Hugo Ibarra, Rio Ferdinand, Gabriel Heinze, Patrice Evra, Paul Scholes, Andrea Pirlo, Paul Pogba, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, and Wayne Rooney,” he said.
“I’d stay on the bench.”
